This ended up being quite the undertaking. I was first struck by how thin the Let It Be album sounded. I compared with the "Big Blue Box" LP and found that the Toshiba-EMI CD sounded identical. Good news for how well the Toshiba-EMI CDs are made, but bad news for getting a truly nice remix of the Spector produced songs. Thankfully, we have the original Get Back album, which has a much more robust sound and depth. I was amazed that they did not include the Rooftop concert on the box set. Maybe they are waiting for the new documentary. At any rate, I compiled the best versions I could find to approximate the concert using single takes and some fun additions. Again, I'm trying to create the set that I wanted to see released.

The remaining singles can be found on my remix of Past Masters, Volume 2. I will be combing through the demos, outtakes, and alternate versions to see what I can put together as a companion album. Any advice here would be greatly appreciated.

Enjoy!
